A night in the world, to think together!

Celebrating the stream of ideas between countries, cultures, topics and generations, The Night of Ideas takes place worldwide

on Thursday 30th January 2020

and will focus on the theme: “Being Alive”.

Guests from diverse backgrounds will gather to discuss the theme all across the five continents. Join us for the very first Night of Ideas in Limerick!

Program:

6 pm – Musical Readings “Make our planet great again”

7 pm – Tomorrow (Demain), 2015 French documentary film directed by Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent. It is not just a film, it is the beginning of a movement seeking to encourage local communities around the world to change the way they live for the sake of our planet. So far, no other documentary has gone down such an optimistic road…

9 pm – Debate animated by Dr. Loïc Guyon, Head of the Department of French Studies at Mary Immaculate College, Honorary Consul of France in Limerick and Dr. John Morrissey, Lecturer in Geography at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.
